HONDA NT 1100

 HONDA NT 1100

It's no secret that Honda has been working on platform logic for several years and has decided to apply it to the Africa Twin, which has already given birth to the CMX1100 Rebel. Several months ago, there was a rumor that the CRF1100L would be available in a sport-touring variant.

It's been more than a year since the Japanese press has fueled the rumor, first with an inventive concept based on the CBR, then with the specificity that it will be a European version of the Africa Twin, dubbed CB1100X.

We weren't far off, because Honda had already clarified the situation by filing a trademark application with the EUIPO under the evocative name of NT1100!

Deauville, are you coming back? Honda debuted the NT series in 1988 with the NTV 650 Revere, which represented the Transalp's bicylindre in V at the time before becoming "Deauville" ten years later.

The return of the NT designation seems logical, as one would expect to find a bicylindre (now in line) powered by a trail to propel a more routière motorcycle. However, there is a slim likelihood that the name Deauville will be revived, especially because the city and the brand had a disagreement over its use in 2012.

On the other hand, no information on the final design of this Honda NT 1100 has been released.
