                   Yamaha YZF 450 2021

Yamaha has unveiled its new enduro 450 WR-F model for the year 2021. A 450 that is significantly different from its cousin, the 450 YF-F 2020, in that it retains nearly all of the characteristics of the 450 YF-F 2020. There is still no homologation for this model, which should only be used on private circuits unless it is homologated by a competent concessionaire. Here is the official press release.

The Yamaha WR450F is plébiscité by the all-terrain environment, having won the ISDE 2019 in Portugal and taking numerous podiums in the World Enduro Championship. It's one of the fastest, toughest, and most competitive motorcycles in its class. The new WR450F 2021 has been completely redesigned. She now has cutting-edge innovations derived from the Yamaha YZ450F motocrosser's engine and chassis. This enduro machine is equipped with a lighter and more powerful engine, a brand new bilateral aluminum frame, sophisticated suspensions, and modified brakes, and it delivers performance never seen before on a production motorcycle. With the best specifications in its class, the WR450F 2021 is only waiting for one thing: to be abused by experienced endurance pilots.

New 450cc engine is lighter, more powerful, and more compact.

The WR450F's engine was already known for its wide power range and exceptional couple, which were synonymous with impressive performance regardless of operating conditions. Yamaha engineers turned to the motocross engine from the YZ450F, which is lighter and more compact, for increased power that can be delivered in all modes. Yamaha has made a few key technical adjustments to satisfy enduro riders. The work focused on admission and ejection, injection mapping, and ECU illumination in order to provide more usable and controllable power.
