Honda Sh 125 2020

                       Honda Sh 125 2020

The new SH 125, which is available in four colors (white, red, gray, and black) on the French market, retains the same ergonomie as the previous generation: the seat height remains at 799 mm, allowing the scooter with big wheels to appeal to both female and male customers. However, more difficult geometries (about 1m85) must be avoided during slow-speed maneuvers to avoid seeing the genoux touch the guidon. For the rest of us, the extra room at the edge is very useful. The advantages of traveling in a duo are that the passenger benefits from a huge square of mousse, two reclining seats, and the option of paying the extra for a top-case.

But it's on the subject of motorization that the SH under consideration here introduces a major change: the Euro 5 standard has been in effect for new vehicle production since January 1st (remember that vehicles already on the road have until the end of 2020 to comply...or not). The old Euro4 engine is retired logically, and a new generation mono cylindre takes its place. Always as discreet when it comes to illumination. The result is an eSP+ (enhanced Smart Power, a well-known Honda moniker) engine with four soupapes and water cooling. The technical changes resulted in a slight increase in power over what we've been used to over the past four years, with 9,6 kW at 8250 tr/mn against 8,9 kW at 8250 tr/mn.

The so-called "part-cycle" doesn't change much: the rigidity of the chassis, along with the 16-inch wheels, works wonders. The well-adjusted suspensions ensure first-class comfort on all surfaces, and the train's precision before rassures when the pace picks up, whether on fast curves or in more difficult stretches. Furthermore, maniability and stability are indisputable advantages for both newbie and experienced users. Our guest of the day, in lieu of a devancier, has an ABS brake system with two channels: The overall output is satisfying, even if the left lever lacks a progressive chouille; also, the ABS is activated more easily than before, when it was nearly hard to take out of service. However, this is not the case.
