The recent arrival of the XJ6 put a stop to the FZ6's close proximity, and it's only natural that they give way to the new FZ8 (and the Fazer8), dubbed to hunt on other lands, Kawasaki Z750 or BMW F800R to name a few. Without being revolutionary, the FZ8 benefits from the FZ1's competence, from which she does not deviate in terms of technique.


The 779 cc engine was designed with the goal of achieving the ideal compromise between a 600 cc engine, which is often overdimensioned in road use, and a 1000 cc engine, which is often overdimensioned in the same circumstances. The new FZ8 series engine has an injection system that uses both primary and secondary papillons that are controlled electronically, allowing for a more precise control of the air volume allowed. The ECU analyzes the engine's operating mode and the opening of the main papillons in real time, then controls the opening of the secondary papillons to maximize admission efficiency. The ABS versions of the two models FZ8 (Naked) and Fazer8 (Semi-carénée) are also available. The aluminum alloy five-branch wheels are fitted with 120/70/ZR17 front and 180/55/ZR17 rear tires. The FZ8 and the Fazer8 clearly share the besogne, which isn't surprising. The FZ8 retains the full-fledged look of a stylish and aggressive roadster, whereas the Fazer8 focuses on its ability to escape on long journeys and in all weather conditions, thanks to the addition of a semi-carnage protector.
