YAMAHA XVS 650 DRAGSTAR

  YAMAHA XVS 650 DRAGSTAR

The Yamaha XVS 650 Dragstar is an excellent choice for those looking for a good starting point, as well as those who want to build their own custom. Produced between 1997 and 2007, its owners laud its dependability and ease of use after submitting their test forms to us via our community-based Maxitest program.

Today, for example, we validated a new review, that of Poupidou45, who owns a 2000 model with a medium mileage (entre 30 000 et 50 000 km). He specifically mentions his enjoyment of piloting his custom Yamaha over the bends in the road, as well as the durability of his motorcycle, which is equipped with a cardan final transmission. Here are some of the sections of the form that we will be validating:

A well-built and valuable motorcycle. Chrome requires more maintenance than, say, a Harley (because to the lower quality of the metal!). There are a few loose threads, but overall, the Dragstar 650 is a nice machine. Simple and unaffected by power, this bike has a long lifespan and requires little maintenance thanks to its cardan.

A motorcycle that is inexpensive to purchase, maintain, and insure. For those looking for a cute and easy custom, this is a wonderful quality/price ratio.

Because of its cylindre, the Yamaha Dragstar XVS 650 is surprisingly nimble and noticeable for a machine of this type. The front brake is adequate, but when combined with the rear brake, it proves to be effective, given that the achieved speeds are never impressive. The suspensions are quite comfortable on their own, ensuring a relaxing ride. However, with continued use (fast, no less! ), the motorcycle disintegrates completely and forces the driver to quickly deliver the weapons, despite the fact that the amount of time spent on the ground is limited.

Excellent first moto, perfect for ballads. Perfect for beginners, those who want a flâning motorcycle, or those who are mentally preparing. The more experienced riders will undoubtedly go toward the 1100, but the 650 may appeal to a wide range of riders as long as they maintain the spirit of this sort of motorcycle.

In the Maxitest, you can find all of the reviews for the Yamaha XVS 650 Dragstar.
