Une moto électrique Kawasaki dès 2022

Une moto électrique Kawasaki dès 2022

Kawasaki is completely electric! Even though Kawasaki is part of an industrial conglomerate where motorcycles account for only a small percentage of sales and where electric is the key to the future at the corporate level, the announcement caught everyone off guard a few weeks ago.

And it's been few weeks since Kawasaki began announcing the new features for their millennium 2022, whether it's new colors, limited editions, or true firsts like the Z650 RS, which we've already tested.

Akashi, who was in Milan for the EICMA show, also gave an update on the development of its Versys 650 and Ninja H2 SX motorcycles. But that's not all; Kawasaki has also provided details on its electric future, which was just confirmed.

Following the filing of patents and the restructuring of its motorized division, the KHI Group has unveiled ambitious plans for future motorcycle production, setting the goal of releasing 16 new motorcycles per year by 2025 and, more importantly, transitioning to alternative energy by 2035, offering only electric and hybrid motorcycles.

A first goal of 10 electric motorcycles was set for the year 2025. But there won't be any need to wait for long, as Hiroshi Ito, the president of Kawasaki Motors Ltd., recently announced that the company's first electric motorcycle will be available in a matter of months.

Furthermore, it will not be one, but three international models that will be well-presented in 2022.

So, good news for those who have been waiting for the arrival of the brand on the electric market, even though everything is still quite theoretical at the moment because no concept has been revealed. Even if the models' presentation is certain, no one knows when they will be put into production, much less when they will be available for purchase.
