Honda Transalp 2021

                     Honda Transalp  2021

Honda has registered the name Transalp in the United States. This only adds fuel to the fire around the rumored return of the iconic Honda Transalp to the market. A new adventure motorcycle, sandwiched between the CB500X and the Africa Twin, would put Honda in the thick of a very competitive sector that includes the BMW F850GS, the new Triumph Tiger 900, the Yamaha Ténéré 700, the KTM 790 Adventure, and the upcoming Husqvarna Norden 901.

A motorcycle that, one can imagine, would be built to fill a gap in Honda's trail lineup, despite the fact that the majority of its competitors have a strong offering to compete with. Apart from the return of the Transalp, rumors abound about the appearance of a "little" Africa Twin A2 measuring 790 cm3. It's also possible that these two motorcycles will only do one thing, as the value of releasing two machines in the same segment is unclear, even if the trail market is one of the most dynamic.

If the latest couloir noises from Japan are to be believed, the Transalp will be powered by a parallel bicylindre from the NC750, maybe inflated to 790 cm3. As a result, we retomb on our well-known 790-meter trail.

Certainty is that Honda is attempting to fill a gap in its lineup. Whether it's a small Africa Twin or a return of the Transalp, one of the two should be great, and the time has come to choose one to fill the Honda inventory. Unless we have a right to a crossroads between the two, which would result in a more challenging and cost-effective adventure trail. Nothing compares to the Chinese copy of the Africa Twin and its 1000 kilometers of autonomy.
