 Honda SH 125i 2017

The Honda SH 125, which was unveiled at the Milan Motor Show in November, has received an update for 2017. We're not talking about major changes, but rather a nice evolution in terms of both aesthetics and technology (Euro 4 motor and serial smart key). The scooter with large wheels that has been a veritable best-seller in Italy and southern Europe does not appear to be ready to relinquish its market-leading position. Direction Toscane and the city of Florence, where the official presentation was held, to have a better idea of the improvements made.

Despite a light coat of paint, the market for large-wheeled scooters only accounts for a small percentage of total sales in France, where the GT sector reigns supreme. Nonetheless, the manufacturers continue to work tirelessly and now offer vehicles with enhanced practical elements, a true talon of achille for this category, as well as dynamic performance, particularly in terms of maneuverability when traveling in urban areas.

The SH lineage began in 1984 with the introduction of the first 50 cm3 model, but it took until the beginning of the 2000s (2001) to see the addition of a 125 cm3 model. Four years later, in 2005, the large roues allé was distinguished by the introduction of an injection-based alimentation system, followed by a thorough overhaul and the coupling of the brakes in 2009. Since its initial commercialization, more than one million units have been sold around the world, with about 17000 exemplaires écoulés in Europe during the 2016 fiscal year. Un engouement incomparable, mostly among our transalpine neighbors as well as in Spain.
